Connie Ostwald (Moderator)

Connie Harris Ostwald is currently an Executive Coach with Coaching to Authenticity. Through her position in the School of Leadership and Development at Eastern University, Connie has done capacity building and leadership training for development professionals around the world. She has taught in China, South Africa, Kenya, Mexico, Romania, Italy and Thailand where NGO, business, and government professionals have come from the surrounding regions to attend her classes and workshops.

For several years, Connie conducted the Professional Seminar for adult graduate students at Eastern University, providing young professionals with a year-long coaching experience to refine their personal leadership capabilities and career directions.

Connie has also been an entrepreneur and co-owner of Progressive Designs, Inc, a marketing strategy and design firm. She has also had a successful career as a professor, specializing in innovative program design in the areas of international development and economics. Connie is currently on the faculty in the Department of Management & Business at Messiah College.

Connie is happily married to Gary Ostwald, founder of Coaching to Authenticity. Both of them have done extensive training with Minds at Work, an organization founded by Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education.

Gary Ostwald (Moderator)

Gary Ostwald is currently executive coach and founder with Coaching to Authenticity. Through his position as professor of management and leadership in the PhD in Organizational Leadership Program at Eastern University, Gary teaches leadership development courses for working adults. Previously, he was on the faculty of the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business where he taught management and leadership courses in their MBA program.

Among others, Dr. Ostwald’s clients have included J.E. Dunn Construction Company (MO), The Pavement Network (CA), the Associated General Contractors of South Dakota (AGC-SD), and the Professional Landscape Association of New Jersey, among others. He primarily consults on the topics of Creating a Culture of Teamwork, Lead with Authenticity and High Performance Leadership.

Formerly, Gary owned a property management company in Colorado and was a real estate broker and Certified Property Manager (CPM). Gary has held engineering and management positions in Fortune 500 firms, beginning his business career with 3M Company as an Industrial Engineer.

Gary enjoys sea kayaking, trail running, and bicycling. He is happily married to Connie Ostwald, executive coach with Coaching to Authenticity. Gary & Connie spend their summers in Colorado.
